House
All of the walls in the house are of exposed stone. The front door opens into a large entrance hall. To the right a doorway opens into a large reception room (36 sq m) with marble fireplace. To the left of the entrance hall a doorway opens into a further reception room (36 sq m) with traditional stone charentaise fireplace. From here a door way leads to a second entrance hall/room (15 sq m), again with a traditional stone fireplace. From here a further door opens into a large room (kitchen? - 36 sq m) with doors to the front and rear courtyards.
First floor
A wooden staircase in the main entrance hall rises to the first floor. From the landing doorways open into three large rooms (36 sq m, 50 sq m and 36 sq m).
Second floor
The stairs continue to the second floor which currently consists of one room (40 sq m).
Grounds
The plot covers about 2000 sq m. To the front of the house is a courtyard with a garage and some stone animal pens to one corner. The main garden lies to the side of the house. To the rear of the house is a walled courtyard (originally a barn), a covered porched entrance and a former distillery.
This attractive stone house is in a lovely location - no main road/train etc. The house and most of the outbuildings have been re-roofed, making the continuation of the renovation easier. Once the renovation is done, this will make a wonderful family home, either for permanent living or as a holiday home.
